Mount Epomeo: it can be reached from Serrara along a mule track which passes through Bocca di Serra and goes up towards Pietra dell'Acqua. If you should want to go via Fontana, however, you should go up as far as the fork (about 582 metres), and then turn left and follow an ancient path, which coincides with the brink of the chasm at Curtidonna for a distance.
Cava Scura: An ancient thermal baths known during Roman times. Its waters spout from the rock at almost 100 degrees. You can get there on foot along the pathway which leaves the village of Sant'Angelo or via the taxi boats which depart from the harbour.
Cava Pallarito: One of the most exciting trips, walking through one of the longest and most imposing natural quarries of the island. It lies above the main road, near Fontana. If you should go beyond a little cave you will find the quarry's wild and tortuously narrow passageway.
